Much like a French Press, some sediment will get through the filter. The microfines and oils that are allowed through play a big part in delivering a flavorful cup with a smooth mouthfeel.
Nope! Pure Over uses a process called cake filtration to filter your coffee. Cake filtration is a process in which the coffee grounds act as a filter itself. Along with the glass filter, this makes for a bold, full bodied cup of coffee.
Pure Over is made from borosilicate glass, one of the strongest types of glass. Borosilicate glass contains boron trioxide which allows for a very low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means it will not crack under extreme temperature changes, like brewing with hot water. Like with any glass item, you will want to handle it with care, and avoid dropping any of the glass components.
