so you can taste every flavor
this replaces paper entirely allowing flavorful oils and aromas to pass through.
As you brew, the grounds settle into a compact layer (called cake filtration) which acts as a natural second filter.
The results? A clean, smooth cup without the need for paper filters.

Much like a French Press, some sediment will get through the filter. The microfines and oils that are allowed through play a big part in delivering a flavorful cup with a smooth mouthfeel. However, by brewing into a carafe, you have more control of the pour. For less sediment, pour all but the last ounce or two into your mug. This will allow the sediment to remain within the Carafe.
Pure Over uses a process called cake filtration. It's a process in which the ground coffee acts as a filter itself. Along with the built in glass filter, this makes for a bold, full bodied cup of coffee.
